Für eine aktive Willkommenskultur und eine offene Gesellschaft!
Die jüngsten Ereignisse in Sachsen und anderswo machen einmal mehr deutlich, dass eine entschiedene Positionierung aus der Zivilgesellschaft notwendig ist. Es darf nicht länger zugeschaut werden, wie eine Minderheit sich als das unverstandene „Volk“ wähnt, durch menschenverachtende Äußerungen die politischen Debatten bestimmen will und zeitgleich Asylunterkünfte anzündet. Wir verurteilen jegliche Aktionen des Fremdenhasses als Ausdruck empathieloser Menschenverachtung.
Zivilgesellschaftliches Engagement und eine klare humanistische Positionierung müssen dem ausländerfeindlichen Hass in Sachsen, wie überall entgegen stehen, um deutlich zu machen, dass auch in Leipzig keine fremdenfeindliche Hetze geduldet wird.
Der politische Diskurs sollte von einer emanzipatorischen freiheits- und gleichheitsbestrebten Gesellschaft bestimmt werden. Dem rechten Rand muss eine Absage erteilt werden. Brennenden Unterkünften, aber auch dem omnipräsenten Alltagsrassismus muss aus Gründen der Vernunft widersprochen werden. Tagtäglich.
Die Geschichte darf sich nicht wiederholen, die Neunziger Jahre dürfen nicht wiederkehren.
Seit nunmehr 15 Jahren setzt sich das Team der Global Space Odyssey (GSO) für kulturelle Vielfalt, eine offene Club-Kultur und eine solidarische Gesellschaft ein.
Wir wünschen uns eine Stadt, in der Menschen offen empfangen und aufgenommen werden, in der Menschen anderer Herkunft integriert werden und in der interkultureller Austausch neue Formen der Kunst und Musik generieren kann. Kulturelle Vielfalt ist ein integraler Bestandteil des Miteinanders und des individuellen Glücks.
Um das für alle zu ermöglichen, sollte eine Gesellschaft solidarisch agieren, immer und vor allem mit denjenigen, die es besonders nötig haben.
Kommt daher am 04.04.2016 mit uns auf die Straße.

No Bassaràn! 2016 – subculture against rightist populism!
For an Immigration-friendly and open minded society!
What happened in Saxony points out that the civil society necessarily has to stand up and underline a clear point of view. It is not longer time to be passive, while a minority considers themselves as the self-proclaimed “Volk” through escalating actions that determine the political debates; and at the same time set fire on refugee shelters. We can not accept this as any form of protest. We disapprove those actions as an expression of inhumanity.
It is obligatory that the engagement of civil society with a strongly humanistic ideal are opponent to the hatred in Saxony and everywhere else – as declaring that there is no space for xenophobic slogans and agitations is such important.
The political discourse should be (re)defined by an emancipatory society, which is seeking for freedom and equality of everyone. The political far right has to be rejected. For rational reasons we daily have to publically controvert the burning of accommodations but also the everyday racism. The history must not be repeated, the 1990s must not return.
For 15 years now the team of the Global Space Odyssey (GSO) stands for cultural diversity, open conception of club-culture and a society of solidarity.
We seek for a city that integrates people and fully accepts them, where different origins doesn’t matter at all and where intercultural everyday life can lead to new forms of art and music. Cultural diversity is an integral component of relations among society and individual happiness.
To make this happen, a society should act solidary; always and especially with those who need it most.
